Saudi Intercepts Two Houthi Missiles, PH Embassy Issued Advisory For OFWS

The embassy of the Philippines in Jeddah has issued a public advisory for overseas Filipino workers with regards to the missiles fired by the Houthi militias which are taken down by the Saudi forces. The Filipinos are advised to limit the unnecessary visit to government offices and public places unless it is urgent. The advisory also instructed the OFWs to remain calm and yet vigilant under any circumstances.

Ads    Saudi Arabia's air defense forces shot down on Monday two ballistic missiles over Taif, one heading towards Makkah and the other over Jeddah, Saudi media reported.  The air defense was able to take down the ballistic missiles fired by Iran-backed Houthis in Yemen, according to the report.  The Saudi authorities are yet to issue a formal statement.  This isn't the first time Houthi militias have targeted Makkah -- the most recent attempted attack was in July 2017. The fragments of the said rocket landed in Wadi Jalil, which extends to Mecca, noting that this is the second time that the militias are trying to target Mecca.  The total number of ballistic missiles launched by the militias against Saudi Arabia and destroyed by the air defense forces to this day 227 ballistic missiles.
