The Department of Labor and Employment (DOLE) is studying for the possibilities of imposing a ban on sending Filipino domestic worker in Kuwait.
This is because of the reported cases of abuse from their employers.
Department of Labor and Employment (DOLE) Secretary Silvestre Bello III said they are concerned with the rising number of cases of abuse of household helpers in Kuwait.

Other than this there are many cases of domestic helpers that escape from their employer due to abuse or maltreatment.
But Bello clarifies that skilled workers such as electricians, welders, construction workers and many other will not be affected if the ban will be imposed.

A Filipina were arrested for committing immoral acts in return for money in Kuwait.
