How to Get Police Clearance In UAE

LOCATION: Applicants should apply at the CEID (Criminal Evidences & Information Dept) located along Salwa Road just before the first interchange.

Fill up the application form which could be downloaded here

Bring the filled-up application form together with the following document: 

For police clearance intended for immigration to another country; transfer of sponsorship; and marriage you needed:

Qatari Nationals:

•  Passport copy and ID
•  2 pcs photo (6x4cm)

Residents/expats: 

• Copy of the passport and ID Card
• 2 passport size photos (6x4cm)
• No objection letter from sponsor (yourself)
• Copy of your ID card

       APPLICATION FEE: 10 Qatar Riyals

For police clearance certificate for transfer of employment:  

Qatari:

• Letter of nomination from the employer addressed to the Director of Criminal Evidences & Information Dept
• Photo copy of ID and Visa
• 2 pcs ID picture (6x4cm)
• Academic qualification
• Free letter party in case of resignation

Residents and expats:

• Letter of nomination from the employer addressed to the Director of Criminal Evidences & Information Dept
• Photo copy of ID and Visa
• 2 pcs ID picture (6x4cm)
• Academic qualification
• Free letter party in case of resignation
• Original Police clearance from your country certified by the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and authorities of your country. 

       APPLICATION FEE: 10 Qatar Riyals

How long does it take: Some applicants manage to get their police clearance the same day they applied. However according to some (women) it took them 3 days.

TO OBTAIN POLICE CLEARANCE OUTSIDE QATAR

1. Request for finger print form in your country of residence. Have it stamped at the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and authority in your country. 

2. Visit the Qatar Embassy or Consulate in your area. Bring the following:

Accomplished finger print form.
Photo copy of your passport when you were in Qatar
ID
4 pcs 2x2 picture
