PASSENGER LOSES CAMERA AND PHONE, NAIA SAYS CCTV IN THE LUGGAGE AREA NOT WORKING

Passenger bound for Singapore loses his DSLR Camera and Cellphone. Ernest Desabal said he checked in at the Jet-Star check- in counter last Nov. 7.

When he arrived in Singapore, he found out that the lock on his luggage was already removed. Worried that there might be bullet inserted in his luggage he reported the incident right away to Singapore Airport Security Office. After inspecting they found out that his camera and phone were gone. As part of the investigation CCTV footage were shown to him by the Singappore airport authorities how the baggage handlers placed his luggage into the carousel. In order to report the incident he has to cut his trip short and return to Philippines. After he reported the incident to Jet-Star Airways he was referred  to Police authorities and then to Airport Securities Office in NAIA. Upon his request that CCTV footage be shown, he was told that most of the cameras are turned off and not working.
