President Rodrigo Roa Duterte attended the inauguration of the newest shooting range of ARMSCOR Shooting Center, Incorporated (ASCI) at the Buhangin District in Davao City.
ASCI’s newest branch boasts of its standard 25-meter indoor firing range. The event showcased a wide range of Rock Island Armory pistols, rifles, shotguns, ammunitions and accessories manufactured by ARMSCOR Global Defense Incorporated.
The branch now counts among the ASCI’s other stores located in Makati City, Marikina City, Cebu, San Fernando, La Union, Davao (Bajada) and Capas, Tarlac.
In the event, President Duterte led the unveiling of the marker of the shooting range. He was assisted by H.E. Demetrio Tuason, Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary to the United Mexican States, and Chairman Emeritus of the ARMSCOR Global Defense, Inc.
Thereafter, the Chief Executive viewed the products displayed at the ARMSCOR showroom and proceeded to the indoor shooting range for the ceremonial shoot.

In his message, President Duterte made a brief statement regarding ARMSCOR’s successful legacy in the country. “ARMSCOR is part of our lives already. Whenever we think of ARMSCOR, baril ‘yan pati bala,[it's guns and ammunitions] ” he said.
