Aside from preventing oil dump on waterways, rivers and others, the newly opened biodiesel plant in Davao city could possibly lower the price of diesel to P16 per liter. With the initiative of the city government and help of Japan International Cooperation Agency (JICA) and two japan-based company, the plant which can process at least 1,000 liters of used cooking oil to biodiesel is now ready to operate. Shigeto Mizumo, of the company Biomass Japan Inc. said that the city could easily supply the daily requirement of used cooking oil as shown by a feasibility study. He also said that a year before the plant is completed, they were able to collect at least 250,000 liters of used cooking oil from around the city. According to assistant city administrator Dwight Tristan Domingo, there are at least 10 villages that could be used as used cooking oil collection points. "Advertisements" The opening ceremonies for the plant was led by Mayor Sara Duterte. She said that the biodiesel produced at the plant would cost only P16 per liter compared to the price of regular diesel which is P29 per liter. The biodiesel produced at the plant would be tested on 30 jeepneys for the next three monthys to determine fuel efficiency against regular diesel. Mizumo said that the biodiesel produced at the plant had already been tested on several government garbage trucks and "there has been no problem at all." After the three months dry run on 30 jeepneys, the biodiesel will be out for public vehicles. YOU WANT? HOUSE MADE OF RECYCLED BOTTLES, CONTAINERS AND PALLETS?

Thinking about building your own home but you don't have enough budget. Here are some homes building ideas using up-cycled materials  like plastic bottles, glass bottles, container vans and pallets.

This house in Mexico is made out of  glass and  plastic bottles:

Look how beautifully they have turned those plastic bottles into a decorative wall.
here is how it looked like unfinished.

Wonder how they built it? Watch here:

And while many might be doubtful mixing cement and plastic, the next houses made from glass bottles might change your mind. We all know that glass bottles could be a good insulation and decorative too. The lay-out should not differ so much as the plastic bottle house, you simply don't need to fill the glass bottles with sand.

House made of glass bottles:

This is the Ryolite house in Nevada. It is a three bedroom house built in 1905.

Glass house in Boswell, built in 1952- is made of empty embalming fluid bottles.

Houses made from container van and trailers. The average life span of houses made from container van is 25 years but could vary depending on the topography, humidity and other factors.

This house in Boise, Idaho is made of flatbed trailer, cladded with wood from recycled pallets.

This is the interior:
And this is the view from her lofted bed at the opposite end of the house. Underneath the kitchen counters, she has a two-in-one washer/dryer.

Don't Throw Away your Plastic Bags

and this too

"A fact about plastic bag: Introduced just over 25 years ago, the ugly truth about our plastic bag addiction is that society's consumption rate is now estimated at well over 500,000,000,000 (that's 500 billion) plastic bags annually, or almost 1 million per minute."

And so we implore everybody to recycle. And one of the best recycling method we have discovered...

It saves a lot of money, and energy. Plastic comes at various sizes so everybody can chose their size, they be small, medium or large, or even extra extra large.

So this summer let's recycle, and you know, its fun to swim, the splash of water, oh so refreshing! This boy found a new way to do it.You don't need to buy BATHING SUIT.

Easier to wash, and yes, dries easily.

Happy Recycling everybody!
