8 Gas Station and LPG Companies Open For Franchise

The demand for fuel continues to increase. Aside from public utility vehicles, massive car ownership is also happening nowadays. With this, having a gas station can be a viable business because oil is an essential commodity. A gasoline station may be expensive to put up as well as if you want to franchise a brand. You need a big capital for it. Few important things to consider in this business in order to be successful, aside from your capital is the location, your lot area, your products and its safety to the public. If capital falls short for a gasoline station, then why not try to franchise a Liquefied Petroleum Gas (LPG) company. This is an important need of every household too especially in urban areas. If you have a big enough capital to franchise this product, you may choose in the following brand to consider for your business.

If not properly maintained, liquefied petroleum gas (LPG) tanks can be a fire hazard and can cause damage to properties even to life.

For many years, there are notable cases of fire from faulty cylinders or LPG tanks.

We can secure our homes from this disaster if we know some safety tips for our LPG tanks that may save our properties and ourselves.

Here are some LPG safety tips from Department of Energy, Bureau of Fire Protection and some experts;

1. Always ask for a receipt when buying LPG to ensure that you are buying from an authorized retailer. Never buy an unbranded LPG cylinder. The tank is always marked with the name of the company that sold it. Always check the markings.

2. Make sure that the cylinder is in good condition. Check for excessive rustiness and dents at the bottom part. Do not accept an under-filled or defective cylinder. You can always have it weighed in authorized resellers. You must be able to choose a cylinder that is clean and free from any defects.

3. Have the tank installation or repair done by a trained and qualified LPG serviceman. Do not tamper with or try to repair the cylinder yourself, including removing the hose connection from the stove or regulator.

4. Clean your gas stove regularly and always check the condition of the LPG hose. Change the hose at least once in two years, especially if you can see some cracks.
5. Ensure the cylinder is located in a well-ventilated area. It must not be placed inside a cabinet.

6. Check your cylinder for leaks by applying a soap solution. Never look for a leak with match, candle or open flame.

7. Always handle LPG cylinders in an upright position.

8. Retain the safety cap with nylon thread attached to the cylinder. Fix the cap on the valve to stop it from leaking, or if it’s not connected to a burner.

9. Cylinders must not be installed near any heat source or exposed to the elements.

10. Make sure the regulator used is the same diameter as the cylinder valve. It should also be kept off when you’re not using your burner.

Also, observe and check the color of the flames. It must be blue and not yellow.
With this simple tips, we can prevent the fire from LPG tanks in our homes. If possible, it is also important to have a fire extinguisher ready in our houses. For more tips about LPG safety, watch videos in this article.
