According to the  Centers For Disease Control and Prevention (CDC), your beloved pets can also bring peril to your health.

"Pets sometimes carry harmful germs that can make people sick. The diseases people get from animals are called zoonotic diseases," the CDC warned.

"It is hard to know which animals could be carrying zoonotic diseases, especially since animals carrying these germs can often look healthy and normal," it added.

With this, here are some of the tips on how you can keep your pets healthy:

Regular pet checkup
To help your pets stay in good health, you must regularly take them to a veterinarian for a checkup.
Keep pets clean
Your beloved pets can pass germs to you if you do not keep them neat.

Practice good hygiene around your pets to protect them from diseases. In that way, they will not pass illness-causing germs to you, as well.

Be aware of diseases from animals
Awareness on the diseases that can be brought by animals is also important.

"Learn about diseases different types of animals can spread–just in case," it was noted.
