In this particular post, we will provide updates, photos, and videos regarding Typhoon Tisoy with the international name Kammuri.

The typhoon is strong with heavy rains and wind gust between 235KPH to 275KPH according to PAG-ASA, the government weather agency. It is so strong the classes and some companies' work were suspended since Monday, December 2, 2019.

The Carribean OFWs Ravaged by Hurricane Irma Need Help


Filipinos living in Caribbean nations devastated by Hurricane Irma are in need of food, water and shelter, the Department of Foreign Affairs (DFA) said . According to the Philippine mission in Washington, the embassy is already coordinating with British authorities in delivering relief to Filipinos in the British Virgin Islands. Chargé d’Affaires Patrick Chuasoto said 264 of about 3,000 Filipinos in the Carribean live in the British Virgin Islands. There are also Filipinos in the French territories and dependencies of Saint Barthélemy and Saint Martin as well as the US Virgin Islands, according to the DFA. Some of the Filipinos complained they have had difficulties finding food, water and shelter after Hurricane Irma, which became a Category 5 storm on Saturday, hit the region. The team will bring relief supplies and arrange for the repatriation of those who may want to return to the Philippines. “So far we have not received any report of Filipino casualties although many of our [countrymen] continue to suffer from power outages, decreasing supplies and damage to property and loss of important documents, including passports,” Chuasoto said. He said there are also about 200,000 Filipinos living in the US states of Florida, Georgia and South Carolina, which might be affected by Hurricane Irma. Philippine Ambassador to Mexico Eduardo De Vega said there were no Filipino casualties in the Dominican Republic and Cuba, which are under the jurisdiction of the Philippine Embassy in Mexico.  The OFW survivors of Hurricane IRMA will be flying home ten days after the devastating typhoon devastates the Carribean. A total of 112 OFWs has been brought to Puerto Rico in a chartered flight, most of them are from British Virgin Islands, the area hardly hit by Irma. DFA initial reports said that there are total of 236 OFWs who asked to be repatriated after the catastrophe.

Flights were cancelled, sailing and fishing was suspended, 90% of Baguio and other areas are without electricity, flooding are everywhere, trees were uprooted, and bridge destroyed while rivers overflows. These are only some of the photos available, and we will see more the extent of the damage brought by this super typhoon. 
According to PAG-ASA, as of 9Am today Philippine Time, 20 October 2016), the eye of Typhoon #LawinPH was located based on all available data 75 km West Northwest of Laoag City, Ilocos Norte (18.5°N, 120.°E).
