How To Apply: DepEd Voucher Program (Financial Assistance) For Grade 11 and 12

In order to help families with the education and tuition cost for the 2 added years of K12 curriculum in school , DepEd introduced the Senior High School Voucher Program (SHS VP) as a mechanism to provide financial assistance to senior high school students.

Through the SHS VP, the DepEd engages the non-DepEd Senior High School providers to enroll qualified voucher recipients from both Public and Private Junior High Schools. Once qualified voucher recipients are enrolled in non-DepEd Senior High School providers, the DepEd will provide assistance to these students through a voucher subsidy paid to the non-DepEd Senior High School provider.

All students who pass Grade 10 by March are eligible for the program. Those who are studying in public schools are automatically a Voucher program beneficiary, but if a Grade 10 student is from private school, the private school he/she must be attending must be part of Education Service Contracting (ESC)program of the Department of Education in order to qualify. This may be verified at the school's registrar.

 The value of the voucher or financial assistance depends on the region where the child is studying. 

To apply: 
1.  Student should apply online through Online Voucher Application Portal (OVAP) 

Create account on http://ovap.deped.gov.ph/

Confirmation e-mail will be sent to you. Verify it and fill-up VAF-1 form.  

Download form 

Scan or take picture  and then upload the supporting documents

List of Supporting Documents

1. 2 copies recent identical 2x2 ID Photo
2. Certification of Financial Assistance (if applicable)
3. Photocopy of Latest Grade 10 report card
4. Proof of financial means

SUBMIT ONLINE. 

Make sure to keep a copy of the documents prepared

Applicant may also visit the OVAP website to check the status of application

If application is successful, student is required to download and print the QVR Certificate in the OVAP

A successful applicant is required to submit the QVR Certificate when enrolling in a Non-DepEd SHS Provider

If applicable, student requires Junior High School Principal to fill-out and sign Proof of Financial Assistance

Student prepares the supporting documents

List of Supporting Documents

1. 2 copies recent identical 2x2 ID Photo
2. Philippine Statistics Authority Certified Birth Certificate
3. Photocopy of Latest Grade 10 report card
4. Proof of financial means

Make sure to keep a copy of the documents prepared

Enclose VAF-1 together with the supporting documents in a long brown envelope.

How To Apply ONLINE For TESDA Scholarship

TESDA has recently launched an online application for scholarship under the Technical Vocational Education And Training (TVET).

“Applying for a TESDA scholarship online is now a 5-10 minute procedure. We have tried our best to make it as convenient and hassle-free. There is now no reason why anyone cannot avail of free tech-voc training and enjoy the opportunities that it will bring,” said TESDA Director General Secretary Guiling “Gene” Mamondiong. 

The online scholarship application is made available for the convenience of applicants.  In as little as 5 to 10 minutes applicants can complete the online scholarship application.

The online application for scholarship could take 5-10 minutes only.

The courses available will include Training for Work Scholarship Program (TWSP), Private Education Student Financial Assistance (PESFA) and Special Training for Employment Program (STEP). 

What Is The Online Application Process For TESDA Scholarship?

Step 1. Go to http://tesda.gov.ph/Barangay/ and click the "FILL UP THE FORM" button. 

You needed to fill up the application form and click on the "CREATE" button at the bottom of the page. 

After filling up the form with your personal information click on the "CREATE" button at the bottom of the page as shown above. 

By doing the above application, you will receive your
 " Learner's ID" which you will need in order to proceed to the next step.

STEP. 2. Select the course you want to study.

After choosing from the list of available courses you needed to fill in again some information about yourself. Don't forget to input on the form the "LEARNER'S ID" which you have generated from step 1. 

Once you completed the online scholarship application form, you have to wait for any correspondence on your email from TESDA regarding your application. 

Your application will be forwarded to the Technological Institutions or private-owned TVET provider.

After processing your application at the TESDA Provincial Office, you will receive an email containing an information as to the date of training and venue of training institution.


The online application is one of the programs under the Reform and Development Agenda of TESDA aimed to make scholarship application faster and easier.
