Eight of the people injured have been transferred to hospital, while 18 more were treated on site after suffering minor wounds. Among those wounded in the attack, there are three women of Yemeni, Indian and Saudi nationality, and two Saudi children. The structure of the Abha International Airport also suffered damages, according to Colonel Turki al-Maliki. Eight cases were transferred to hospital for treatment for moderate injuries, while 18 were treated at the site for minor injuries. There was also some physical damage to the airport lounge. Colonel Almalki said that the military and security forces are working to determine the type of projectile used in the terrorist attack, at a time when the terrorist Iran-backed Houthi militia, claimed through its media full responsibility for this terrorist attack saying it used a cruise missile, which constitutes a clear recognition and full responsibility for targeting civilians and civilian objects that are subject to special protection under international humanitarian law, and thus could amount to a war crime of targeting civilians and civilian objects in a systematic manner.

Saudi Arabia: Another Missile From Yemen Intercepted, No Reported Casualties Yet

Advertisements

A Yemeni rebel missile was intercepted over Riyadh on Tuesday.
“Ballistic missile intercepted over Riyadh,” the Coalition battling Yemen’s Houthi rebels said in a statement.
It was the second Houthi missile attack on Riyadh in the past two months.
The missile was supplied
 by Iran to Houthis.

On Thursday, US ambassador to the United Nations Nikki Haley presented what she called “undeniable” evidence that last month’s missile was “made in Iran”.

Below is the video of actual interception of the ballistic missile fired by Yemen targeting Riyadh, KSA.

The Saudi Center For International Communication confirmed about the intercepted missile and it said that there are no reported casualties at the moment.
OFWs in the area are asked to remain calm and cautious. Be ready for any instructions that will be given should tension elevates. Always keep important documents such as your passport or travel documents with you in case of emergency.
