Skilled and Semi-Skilled Pinoy Workers, Will Be In Need in Germany!

What more good thing is that this opportunity in Germany will be open to foreign workers, regardless of age. GMA news cited the Philippine Association of Service Exporters, Inc (PASEI) report that Germany is set to open its labor force in the private sector. PSEI president Elsa Villa said Filipino workers who have worked in the Middle East for years stand to benefit in this development.

Aside from Singapore and Qatar, A country in Europe will soon open its doors to skilled and semi-skilled foreign workers, including Filipinos.

What more good thing is that this opportunity in Germany will be open to foreign workers, regardless of age.

 "Especially our workers coming from the Middle East na medyo may edad-edad na pero very experienced will have a chance because there's no age discrimination here," she said, referring to Germany. "They're more on the skill."

The country will particularly need electricians, masons, welders, metal construction, mechatronics professionals, automation technology and construction electronics professionals.

Workers skilled in pipe installation and maintenance, building construction, plumbing, sanitary, masonry and technical railways operations will also be needed.

 These jobs will give workers around P50,000 to P100,000 a month.

Workers can even apply for residency if they work for the same company for at least two years.

But before you get hired, you need to learn the German language and pass training to fit employer's standards though employers will pay for language training once they pass the initial application.

P100,000+ Salary, Waiting for Filipino Nurses in Germany - Application Deadline May 15, 2017

In his 2013 State of the Union Address, Former President Obama hailed a Filipino nurse as a role model. Filipino nurses offered a tender loving care, the reason why they are still in demand in many different countries in the world such as Saudi Arabia, United Kingdom, Canada, Japan and many other. Now, the Germany is in need of many Filipino nurses too under a government-to-government arrangement with the Philippines.

Filipino nurses offered a tender loving care, the reason why they are still in demand in many different countries in the world such as Saudi Arabia, United Kingdom, Canada, Japan and many other.

Now, the Germany is in need of many Filipino nurses too under a government-to-government arrangement with the Philippines.



According to the POEA, 400 nurses is currently needed in Germany.

Department of Labor and Employment (DOLE) Chief Silvestre Bello III said that qualified applicants will fill up vacancies for intensive care unit and general and geriatric care wards in several hospitals in Germany.

This is based on a report of Philippine Overseas Employment Administration (POEA) to DOLE.

The deployment is under Germany’s Triple Win Project, which is supervised by the POEA through a government-to-government arrangement with Germany.

QUALIFICATIONS
  • Must be a Filipino citizen and permanent resident of the Philippines
  • With a degree in Bachelor of Science in Nursing
  • With active Philippine nursing license
  • At least two years of professional experience as a nurse in hospitals, rehabilitation centers of care institutions.

Applicants must have German language proficiency and are willing to undergo German language training in the Philippines to attain Level B1 (to be paid by the employer) or with Bl or B2 language proficiency level in accordance with the Common European Framework of Reference for Languages.

SALARY

The POEA said successful candidates shall have a starting monthly gross salary of €1,900 or more than P100,000 and an increase to €2,300 (P122,000) after recognition as a qualified nurse.

The employer will pay the visa and airfare from the Philippines to Germany and will assist the employee to find suitable accommodation.

The selected nurse will bear the expenses in full or in part of board and lodging.

  • Cover letter and curriculum vitae with colored passport size picture, in English and, if possible, in German
  • High School Diploma (notarized copy)
  • Diploma of nursing (notarized copy)
  • Board Certificate from Professional Regulation Commission
  • Certificates of employment from former employers (notarized copy)
  • Certificate of German language skills, if available
Valid passport applicants are required to present their original documents for authentication of written information before forwarding the resume to the employer.

The deadline for submission of application is May 15, 2017.

DOLE: Europe In Need of 22,000 Filipino Nurses

The Department of Labor And Employment announced that Europe is in need of 22,000 nurses of all these position are reserved for Filipinos. According to Labor Undersecretary Dominador Say, based on his meeting with the European recruiters, the minimum salary offered for Filipino nurses will be Php 150,000 with benefits. He also said, that Filipino nurses will have 6 months working visa, which can be converted to immigrant status after 6 months, thereafter the immigrant nurse can bring his or her family after another 6 months. The recruiters require that applicants must be licensed nurse and can speak German language. Health Secretary Paulyn Ubial admitted that there is shortage of nurses in the public health sector of 21,000 nurses and health professionals. These however should not be a problem in case more nurses choose to work abroad because there is still over supply from the nursing graduates. She added, the compensation package for nurses in Philippines has also increased tremendously in the past five years, DOLE is also encouraging those who plan to work overseas to be careful and vigilant with illegal recruiters. As per POEA rule, United Kingdom (UK) and Ireland are among the countries exempted from collecting placement fee.
