FREE WI-FI LOCATIONS FOR (CAR) CORDILLERA ADMINISTRATIVE REGION INSTALLED BY DEPARTMENT OF INFORMATION AND COMMUNICATIONS TECHNOLOGY
Free Wifi for all in Abra, Apayao, Benguet, Baguio City, Ifugao, Kalinga, and Mountain Province

The public can now avail of Free Wi-Fi at the DICT Benguet Tech4ED Center and Post Office Loop Park in Upper Session Road, Baguio City 24/7!

Earlier, DICT Asec Felino Castro V., Assistant Secretary for the National Broadband Plan (NBP) Backbone and Free Wi-Fi Internet Access in Public Places, Baguio City Mayor Benjamin Magalong, and Office of the Congressman Representative Mr. John Bagalawis led the ceremonial launching of Free Wi-Fi in the said site.

A hundred concurrent users were monitored and were able to enjoy 3 - 5 mbps during the time of launching.

By 2022, DICT targets to put up 309 Free Wi-Fi sites in public places in Baguio City, covering hospitals, terminals, schools, state universities, public parks and plazas.

This is pursuant to Republic Act 10929 or the Free Public Internet Access Act.
