It is required to be sent to 2600 in the following format: SSS MATERNITYNOTIF <SSNumber> <PIN> <Expected delivery data MM/DD/YYYY> <Total number of pregnancies (including this pregnancy)>. The texts will be charged P2.00 to P2.50, depending on the telecommunication company. Aside from the text messaging facility, members are now also allowed to give notice about their pregnancies online through the SSS website. "Text-SSS and online facilities are our answer to the growing need of members for a more convenient and accessible means of transacting with SSS for their maternity claims," Dooc said. "Rest assured that SSS will also devise more friendly means for other benefits," he added. IN THE MIDDLE EAST, WILL THEY ALLOW HOUSEHELP OR KASAMBAHAY TO USE MOBILE PHONE?

Saudi Gazette reported that in this age of infusion of technology and mobile phones selling like candies in the streets, the question arise if mobile phones will be allowed to be used by kasambahay especially here in the Middle East, and they're divided about the issue.
While some Saudi women say allowing maids their right to have own mobile phones is fair, others believe cell phones in the hands of maids could open ways for them to escape.
Some Saudi housewives are against the idea of letting maids use mobile phones, but they are forced to permit maids to use them to keep them employed.
THOSE WHO AGREE WITH THE IDEA SAID
Kholoud Alturki, a Saudi teacher who has a Kenyan maid, said her maid has a mobile phone and that it was her right and quite normal.
One Saudi employee in the private sector, Maryam Rubi, said: “Since when have you started enslaving people who were born with their freedom? It is acceptable to let a maid use her mobile phone. Let her communicate and talk rather than put her negative energy on the small children under her care.”
WHILE THOSE WHO DISAGREE WITH THE IDEA SAYS:
“Because her contacts with people outside the house could give her the chance to escape, and if not she will be busy talking and may not do her work. How come the maids used to work in the old days without mobiles or phones? She should be allowed to use it on Fridays or her weekly holiday to talk to her family if it’s necessary,” Saudi student Shahd Ziyad said.
Sanaa, a Saudi housewife in her 50s, said she believed giving maids a phone was a problem as they would waste their time on it instead of doing their chores, yet families are forced to allow them to keep their mobile phones so that maids can reasonably communicate with others and keep in touch with their family members.
One Indonesian maid said she uses her cell phone and social media programs such as WhatsApp and Skype to communicate with her family during her free time, especially as these programs allow free calls.
She said her work is no way affected by her using a mobile phone.
“It is vital to let maids use mobile phones not only to talk to her friends and relatives but also for the purposes of her work. For example, if the maid went out with the kids, parents can call and follow up with the maid about their kids. It depends on the maid; if she utilizes the phone properly, her performance will not be affected,” said a Filipino maid in her 50s.
Abeer Al-Tamimi said the real danger of allowing your maid keep mobile phone lies  in family security. “The maid could photograph family members and send the pictures out. She may also divulge family secrets to outsiders and exchange phone numbers with other maids,” she said.
Al-Tamimi said she believed that after exchanging numbers, a maid could have the chance to know unneeded information, such as ways to steal from the home, sorcery and the idea of how to escape.
“To avoid these possible negativities, housewives should impose strict control over the maids’ use of mobile phones,” she said.

FOR US HERE, WE SAY.
LET THE HOUSEHOLD SERVICE WORKERS KEEP MOBILE PHONE.
1. The kasambahay have parents, siblings, kids or loveones, thousands of miles away, why deprive them of the chance to communicate with them if that's the only way to relieve stress, or alleviate boredom?
2. Mobile phone should be allowed to be used by kasambahay during breaktime, and after duty to interact with members
3. Mobile phone as means of communication is a right of every employee, and should not be taken from them because of mistrust by an employer.
4. Employers could include a clause on the contract of their workers regarding the use of mobile phones to make it clear and so that their workers would also know what to expect. But maids should not always wear earphones or have it plugged on their ears while working, to chat/talk or listening to music as this can affect their effectiveness in taking care young children or elderly.
5. Mobile phone is the best way to communicate specially in times of emergency or when they are abused or maltreated by their employers.

A Cellphone Charger That Can Fully Charge In One Minute?

Remember the time when Tesla became a multi-billion dollar company. Everyone is full of hope looking forward to the day when the entire car industry will adopt a cleaner and greener use of energy. However some of the problems is the safety specially of lithium-ion batteries which can easily burst into flames.

Right now a newly developed kind of battery has promised a greener, safer alternative, and faster way of charging.

“We have developed a rechargeable aluminum battery that may replace existing storage devices, such as alkaline batteries, which are bad for the environment, and lithium-ion batteries, which occasionally burst into flames... Our new battery won’t catch fire, even if you drill through it.”

Maybe this new kind of battery is the answer that Tesla has long been looking for. Maybe this is also the kind of battery we all needed on our cellphone. Imagine a safe battery that can charge in just a minute? Yes a minute of charging and it could go through longer cycles compared to your battery right now.

This is indeed getting exciting specially for the technology industry.

How to Block Lost and Stolen Mobile

Block Your Stolen Mobile (1)

Mobiles have become the basic necessity of our lives and they contain a lot of personal information. Hence it is very important to keep it safe. However, after all the precautions, it may happen that we still lose the mobile or it get stolen. In such cases, it is very important to protect the information which is there in the mobile from being misused.

If you own a smart phone, there are many software which are available which can be installed and used to block and locate it.
But for other mobile devices and generally, the service providers Mobily, STC and Zain can assist you with it free of charge.

This is what you have to do:
You need to visit your sim service provider Mobily, STC, Zain with these information that they will need in order to assist you.

Requirements :
1. IMEI Number
The IMEI can be found on the box of your mobile device or on your mobile. You will need to turn off your mobile and remove the battery and you will find it printed there. You may also get it easily by typing this code
 *#06# on the dial pad.

2. Proof of Ownership
You needed to bring something that proves you own the mobile device you want to block, you can prove it by showing your purchase invoice, receipt or warranty card. A selfie with your mobile device is NOT a proof of ownership.

3. It is important that you have used a valid sim from your service provider atleast once in the past one month. If you are using a phone which uses only roaming simcard from another country and have never used the local simcard for more than a month, you might have a problem with this

4. A declaration form available at the service provider office filled and signed.
Once you have provided the above requirements, the service provider can immediately block your mobile.

In any instances where you only have misplaced it and you found it, you may unblock your mobile by visiting the service provider with the same requirements and process as above.
For more information, you can visit the website of your service provider here:

We encourage po ang lahat to be extra careful sa ating mga phones.

How to Configure Internet Mobile Phone In the Philippines

We at the Thoughtskoto enjoyed chatting. In fact, me and my wife doesn't use the SMS that often. We used VOIP when we make a call. We use messenger or internet chatting when we send SMS. So even my wife is doing grocery at Trinoma in Manila, and I am testing the solids of the soap in my lab here abroad, we are chatting, it is not a text message or SMS, we can chat for hours, depends on the urgency.

There are good applications in the Philippines that your love ones can subscribed to. Smart have UZZAP and Globe have UnliCHat. My wife is subscribed to UZZAP, 10 pesos per day and she is online everyday in her mobile phone, for 24 hours! Well. except if she is not chatting in the laptop.

So here is the configuration settings depending on your mobile phones. All networks are covered here so it's a bit comprehensive. Walang kawala!
