Kadamay Attempted To Occupy Vacant Housing Units For Military And Police Personnel

While many OFWs work hard almost day and night to buy their dream home for their family, some militants just want to have it in an instant. carrying their children and belongings, they raid any unoccupied government housing projects and claim it as theirs without paying a single cent.
Members of the urban poor group Kadamay trooped to the Natonal Housing Authority (NHA) housing project for military and police officers in Rodriguez Rizal on Wednesday as they threatened to take over the unoccupied units.

However, the attempt three months ago failed to materialize as residents of the Rodriguez area who are former and active members of the Armed Forces of the Philippines and Philippine National Police barred them from entering the area.  Trinidad said the group would remain in the area near the housing project until such time they are allowed to occupy the unattended housing units, which they insist that they rightfully own.

He also cited what their colleagues did in a housing project in Pandi, Bulacan which eventually were given to them by the president.

A Barangay San Isidro Homeowners Association member said alleged Kadamay members tried to occupy the 1B area of the project weeks after their successful occupation in Pandi, Bulacan.
The attempt, however, had failed to materialize as residents who are former and active members of the Armed Forces of the Philippines and Philippine National Police barred them from entering the area.
Kadamay members who attempted to occupy the units already have their belongings with them. As the leader gave his final signal, the members rushed to the vacant units taking their pick of the units they please to occupy.
 Kadamay members threatened to take similar actions as they vowed to take other vacant government housing units in the country.

Kadamay Demands Free Water, Electricity and Livelihood; Leader Admits Having Children That Are Financial Analyst and Engineers

After occupying government housing project in Pandi Bulacan that has been eventually given to them by NHA, Kadamay members has a new demand on President Duterte. They want free electricity and water supply. In an hour long protest they made infront of Pandi Municipal Hall in Bulacan, some 300 members of Kadamay wishes that their demand would be heard by the government. After acquiring the houses they illegally occupied, they demanded that electricity and water supply has to be provided by the government for free. And it just doesn't end there, there's more. Kadamay also demanded that the government must provide them with jobs and livelihood with high income. Kabataan party list Rep. Sarah Elago and Anakpawis party list Representative Ariel Casilao, the plight of Kadamay does not only end on occupying government housing projects. Casilao said that Kadamay members has no jobs and it is government's responsibility to give them adequate livelihood or jobs. Meanwhile, Kadamay leader admitted that she has far different status in life compared to her members. In an interview with Sheryl Cosim on News 5, Marissa Palomeno, admitted that she has two children who are both engineers and another child who is a financial analyst in Canada. Palomeno said even though she is far well-off as compared to her members, she does not forget where she came from and that is the common thing that makes her cling with the poor. Kadamay, Get Off Bulacan Housing Sites! -NHA


A group claiming to be advocates of homeless urban poor that called themselves "Kadamay" (Kalipunan ng Damayang Mahihirap) has invaded a government housing project in Pandi,Bulacan and occupied the vacant units without authorization from the NHA. Earlier this week the group also tried to occupy a housing project in Bocaue, also in Bulacan but the residents defended their neighborhood . As the Kadamay members caravan approach their village, they made human barricades and cordon the area. An argument heated between the Kadamay members and the homeowners but the police were there and taken control of the situation. Kadamay members flee as the homeowners watch them but they said the fight is not over yet . The police personnel stayed even the situation has suppressed. Maximum tolerance was observed during handling the stand-off situation. Before the standoff, the police and the residents had an intelligence report that a large number Kadamay members are their on their way to their village to occupy vacant unit at Bocaue Hills where legitimate house awardees are living. Being knowledgeable about what they earlier did to the nearby town of Pandi, the residents prepared themselves and even cancelled the classes for the threat. They gathered at the entrance with sticks, paddles and baseball bats just in case the situation get to worse. An eviction order was released by the National Housing Authority ordering the kadamay members who illegally occupied a housing project in Pandi, Bulacan. 600 eviction notices had been serves for the members of kadamay who occupied the vacant housing units without permit at the Villa Elisa resettlement area. about 324 units was occupied by Kadamay out of the total 1,242 units. The eviction notices are posted on doors and walls of the occupied units by NHA representatives. Some 198 eviction notices was also served by the NHA representatives with the help of the PNP, this time at San Jose Del Monte Heights in San Jose Del Monte, Bulacan. Police records show that 5,107 units were already occupied by Kadamay in the area, but the NHA said that eviction notices are on the way to be served to these illegal occupants. President Rodrigo Duterte said that he will not tolerate the "anarchy-ish" actions of this group. "Don't make me evict you." President Duterte said. The President urges Kadamay to have a dialogue instead of taking the matter into their own hands. 600 eviction notices had been serves for the members of kadamay who occupied the vacant housing units without permit at the Villa Elisa resettlement area. about 324 units was occupied by Kadamay out of the total 1,242 units. The eviction notices are posted on doors and walls of the occupied units by NHA representatives.
Some 198 eviction notices was also served by the NHA representatives with the help of the PNP, this time at San Jose Del Monte Heights in San Jose Del Monte, Bulacan. Police records show that 5,107 units were already occupied by Kadamay in the area, but the NHA said that eviction notices are on the way to be served to these illegal occupants.
President Rodrigo Duterte said that he will not tolerate the "anarchy-ish" actions of this group. 
"Don't make me evict you."  President Duterte said.
The President urges Kadamay to have a dialogue instead of taking the matter into their own hands. 

 The group says that the lack of action of the government to their housing request force them to do such thing. The NHA said that more eviction notices is yet to be served in other areas.

Medical Findings- should come from the attending doctor the hospital where the employee was admitted. Step 2. Gather the additional documents if the employee is; 1. Got sick: Request your company to provide pre-employment medical check -up or Fit-To-Work certification at the time that you first got hired . Also attach Medical Records from your company. 2. In case of accident: Provide an Accident report if the accident happened within the company or work premises. Police report if it happened outside the company premises (i.e. employee's residence etc.) 3 In case of Death: Bring the Death Certificate, Medical Records and accident report of the employee. What is a travel tax?
According to TIEZA ( Tourism Infrastructure and Enterprise Zone Authority), it is a levy imposed by the Philippine government on individuals who are leaving the Philippines, as provided for by Presidential Decree (PD) 1183. 

A full travel tax for first class passenger is PhP2,700.00 and PhP1,620.00 for economy class. For an average Filipino like me, it’s quite pricey. Overseas Filipino Workers, diplomats and airline crew members are exempted from paying travel tax before but now, travel tax for OFWs are included in their air ticket prize and can be refunded later at the refund counter at NAIA.

However, OFW dependents can apply for  standard reduced travel tax. Children or Minors from 2 years and one (1) day to 12th birthday on date of travel.
