FATHER GAVE THE BEST WEDDING ADVICE EVER TO DAUGHTER'S HUSBAND-TO-BE

Philip, I want to tell you a story and like all good stories it starts like this…Once upon a time, there was a FATHER and in case you can’t figure that out, that’s me. This FATHER had a wonderful little boy. He was very happy. Then one day he found out his wife was going to have another baby. So he prayed, “Lord if it’s Your will…make her a little girl.” And He did.
I was the first person to hold her in my arms. And I looked at her and said, “Lord make her like her mother.” And He did. She was loving and giving and so good and so kind. But then I realized I was getting left out. So I said, “Lord make her like me.” And He did. She could drive a truck and a tractor. She could load hay and chew tobacco. Do you realize what you’re getting? But at the same time she was opinionated, emotional and hard-headed.
So I said, “Lord that’s enough of that! Make her like YOU!” And He did.
He gave her the desire to serve people. She loves people. She gave her life to being a nurse. She’s brought people back from the dead. And she’s held the hand of people who have breathed their last breath. He gave her a heart for mission and she’s trekked all over the world: pushing canoes up swollen rivers, laid on the floor as bullets whizzed outside so she could tell people about Jesus.
But still something was missing. So I said, “Lord, make her happy.” AND SHE MET YOU. You see that look on her face? I never saw that, until she met you. And I’m grateful for that.
Today I’m giving you the best thing I have to give. And I just wanted you to know before I did that how hard me and God has worked to get her ready. So Philip, as I give her to you, I don’t think you’ll mind if I give you one more word of advice…Me and God have worked hard. Don’t screw it up!

Millionaire Hid Worth $2Million (P90M) Of Gems in the Mountain

From ABC News:

Fenn has never revealed the value of the treasure chest -- which measures 10 inches by 10 inches -- but the New Mexico Tourism Department estimates the value to be as much as $2 million.
Fenn did reveal that a few have come close to finding it -- some 200 feet away from the hidden spot.
PHOTO: Forrest Fenn, pictured here in a video from the New Mexico Tourism Department
The retired fighter pilot who was shot down twice in Vietnam said in a video produced by the state tourism department that the idea to hide the treasure chest came to him after he was diagnosed in 1988 with terminal cancer.

More than five years ago, art collector and author Forrest Fenn decided to bury a treasure chest in New Mexico. Since then, he says tens of thousands of people have tried to find it.
The 84-year old millionaire, who lives in Santa Fe, left clues in his book, “The Thrill of the Chase” -- but so far, no one has been successful.
"I think it's out of control," Fenn told ABC Albuquerque affiliate KOAT, estimating that 30,000 people looked for the treasure last summer and that 50,000 may look for the treasure this summer.

Below, is Mr. Fenn’s poem which encourages all to get involved with the thrill of the chase!
As I have gone alone in there
And with my treasures bold,
I can keep my secret where,
And hint of riches new and old.

Begin it where warm waters halt
And take it in the canyon down,
Not far, but too far to walk.
Put in below the home of Brown.

From there it’s no place for the meek,
The end is ever drawing nigh;
There’ll be no paddle up your creek,
Just heavy loads and water high.

If you’ve been wise and found the blaze,
Look quickly down, your quest to cease,
But tarry scant with marvel gaze,
Just take the chest and go in peace.

So why is it that I must go
And leave my trove for all to seek?
The answers I already know,
I’ve done it tired, and now I’m weak.

So hear me all and listen good,
Your effort will be worth the cold.
If you are brave and in the wood
I give you title to the gold.

First Head Transplant Volunteer

How do you feel about head transplant?

According to an article in Metro.co.uk a 30-year-old Russian man named Valery Spiridonov who is suffering from Werdnig-Hoffmann disease has volunteered to be the first head transplant volunteer. Yes it means his entire head will be transferred into another body.
World's first head transplant patient could face fate 'worse than death'

The operation will be carried out by Dr. Sergio Canavero. It is expected to last 36 hours and will involve 150 doctors and nurses. We don't know how they will fit in the operating room. But that is least among the questions. Imagine yourself waking up to another body and how your head would have to adopt to its new body and the patient could suffer a new level of insanity never experienced before.

Watch as Dr. Canavero explains how the procedure will be carried out.

Please note that a head transplant has been experimented on a monkey 45 years ago. In which the monkey lived for 8 days because his spinal cord was not properly connected.

Newly Developed Liquid Bullet Proof

Polish scientists recently discovered a liquid that has bullet proofing capabilities. The liquid is called Shear-Thickening Fluid or  STF. The liquid has high deflection capabilities that when something hits the STF it hardens and turns into solid state, hardening upon impact.

To find out how it works, watch here:

As body armor it is comparably lighter and safer compared to Kevlar and its liquid property also allows normal range of motion. The liquid also has potential use for sports wears, car bumpers, and road barriers.

While I may not be interested about using it as bullet proof vest, the idea of it being used on car bumpers sounds like it will contribute a lot to safer cars and less critical road accidents.

A Cellphone Charger That Can Fully Charge In One Minute?

Remember the time when Tesla became a multi-billion dollar company. Everyone is full of hope looking forward to the day when the entire car industry will adopt a cleaner and greener use of energy. However some of the problems is the safety specially of lithium-ion batteries which can easily burst into flames.
Image from Extremetech.com

Right now a newly developed kind of battery has promised a greener, safer alternative, and faster way of charging.

“We have developed a rechargeable aluminum battery that may replace existing storage devices, such as alkaline batteries, which are bad for the environment, and lithium-ion batteries, which occasionally burst into flames... Our new battery won’t catch fire, even if you drill through it.”

Maybe this new kind of battery is the answer that Tesla has long been looking for. Maybe this is also the kind of battery we all needed on our cellphone. Imagine a safe battery that can charge in just a minute? Yes a minute of charging and it could go through longer cycles compared to your battery right now.

This is indeed getting exciting specially for the technology industry.
