Updates on Flashfloods in Region 10 and Region 8

Region 10

Cagayan de Oro is experiencing flash floods and landslide. Some roads are unpassable due to high level of water. The staff are stranded here in the office and we are on standby for disaster operation. We are on blue alert.

Region 8

The ff Flooded Munis in Leyte:

Kananga- 6 Barangays possible evacuation for affected residents.

Tunga- 2 Barangays

Dagami alert level1- possible overflowing of rivers

Hilongos- close monitoring for possible landslide & river overflowing

Abuyog-identified several flooded Barangays

Alangalang closely monitoring possible landslide

Javier - some Barangays already flooded

Mahaplag- 7 flooded Barangays & landslide areas currently having site operation.

Julita- flooded areas identified.

DUTERTE WILL REPLICATE 911 DAVAO TO 911 PHILIPPINES STARTING AUGUST 2016!

The Duterte administration will launch its 24-hour hotline next month according to

Presidential Communications Secretary Martin Andanar.

The “8888” plus the 911 hotline will be launched to receive peoples complaints.The former emergency hotline 117 will be then changed to 911 .

At his first Cabinet meeting after his inauguration,President

Duterte vowed to put up a complaint hotline.

“l am setting up a complaint office, 24 hours, manned by 10 operators, covering the entire country. The number will be 8888. They can report to me any complaint and there will be a manager who will redirect the complaint to the proper office,” the President said during the televised Cabinet meeting.

The entire country will be experiencing the state of the art rescue facilities ,equipments and personnel that the Davaoeños and neighboring provinces has been enjoying thru 911 Davao.Thanks to the effort of our Honorable President Rodrigo Duterte.
