MANILA, Philippines — TULOY-tuloy na ang Saudi Arabia sa localization nito ng iba't-ibang mga trabaho na dating ibinibigay sa mga foreign workers kagaya na lamang ng mga Filipino.
Sa inilabas na report ng Saudi Gazette na may petsang Pebrero 18, 2021, inihayag ni Human Resources and Social Development Minister Ahmed Al-Rajhi na ipapatupad na ang Saudization sa mga trabaho sa restaurants, cafes, hypermarkets at mga malls.
Ibig sabihin nito mga Saudi national na ang iha-hire sa nabanggit na mga trabaho sa halip na foreign workers.

Sinabi din ni Al-Rajhi na mahigit sa 28,000 na ang bilang ng mga Saudis na pumasok sa labor market simula noong Enero.
“We are targeting all sectors, activities, and professions, and we will invest in all opportunities so as to enable the sons and daughters of the country to take up jobs. We will soon implement a decision to localize the legal and educational professions also,” ang naging pahayag ni Al-Rajhi sa isinagawang pagpupulong sa mga miyembro ng National Committee for Contractors and the National Committee for Consulting Professions.
“A study has been completed to improve the status of occupational security and safety personnel working on company contracts in ministries and quasi-governmental entities, in addition to contractors with the private sector and set a minimum wage for them,” dagdag pa ni Al-Rajhi.

Kinumperma din ng minister na napakaganda ng resulta ng Saudization initiatives and programs noong taong 2019-2020. Ito'y matapos umabot 420,000 na Saudis ang pumasok sa labor market.
“The number of Saudis who joined the labor market in January exceeded 28,000 young men and women, through the branches of HADAF and TAQAT employment centers and employment support and empowerment programs."

Una rito, pinagbawalan na rin ng Saudi government ang mga foreign workers na makapag-trabaho sa customer care services o call centers.
Matatandaan na madalas kumukuha ng mga trabahante sa mga foreign countries kagaya na lamang ng US, UK, India, Pakistan at iba pang karatig-bansa ang mga negosyo sa Saudi para sa kanilang customer care services.
Sa direktibang inilabas, limitado na sa mga Saudis ang trabaho sa customer care services gaya na lamang ng phone calls, emails, online chats at social media interactions.
