Firm Asked By Saudi Ministry Of LaborTo Pay One Of Its Workers SR30,000 For Delayed Salary


A company working for the Ministry of National Guard was ordered Ministry of Labor and Social Development in Madinah to pay one of its workers SR30,000 and hire him on a new contract because of the delay in salaries. At the same time, the ministry asked from the employee to file a new lawsuit demanding compensation for the case expenses for which the decision was issued on the procrastination of the company in implementing the ruling and provide evidence before the judge in the preliminary body to settle labor disputes in the region, Al-Madina reported.   Al-Ghamdi was quoted by the newspaper as saying that his suffering started with the company that is working on a project with the Ministry of National Guard in Madinah. "I started working in government relations on 1/12/2011." He pointed out in September of 2015 the salaries of all workers in the project started getting delayed. "I was living in a rented apartment, and after I failed to pay my rent, the landlord asked me to evacuate the apartment immediately in addition to the rented car that I can't pay," he added.  Sponsored Links  Al-Ghamdi continued, "I filed a complaint with the branch of the Ministry of Labor and Social Development in Madinah, which in turn issued its ruling obliging the company to make a new contract and pay my dues of SR30,596."  Director General of the Ministry of Labor and Social Development in Madinah region, Abdullah bin Ghazi Al-Saadi explained that the decision issued is final and cannot be appealed. The decision also ends the role of the Ministry of Labor and Social Development. It also does not prevent the employee from making a new claim in which he seeks the fees of the previous case.
