OFW Family Party List Representative Roy Señeres said today that he is open to the possibility that Mayor Duterte would substitute him as the Presidential candidate. However, he mentioned 3 conditions must be met.
In order for this substitution to happen in case the conditions set by Señeres are met, according to the Commission on Elections, the substitute candidate, and the one withdrawing from Presidential bid should come from the same party or coalition. In line with this Señeres added “He (Duterte) could swear an oath of allegiance to the FPP. As a member, he could run for any position he pleases. No one’s stopping him from switching parties”.
Few days ago, he had a radio interview where he also said that they (Duterte and Señeres) should talk regarding supporting each other and he explained why he believes Sen. Grace Poe should be allowed to run.

I am a pro-Duterte OFW, and the news brought joy to me personally that he has finally announced running for president. In an event in Cavite, saying that he could not allow someone who only possess “presumptive Filipino citizenship” to run for president of the country, Davao City Mayor Rodrigo Duterte last night told former schoolmates from the San Beda College of Law and supporters that he was going to run for the country’s top position in the May 2016 national elections.
WATCH: Davao City Mayor Rodrigo Duterte finally said his candidacy for president is already "on the table," following...
"After months of giving mixed signals about his presidential bid, Davao City Mayor Rodrigo Duterte on Saturday said he is finally going to run for the country's top post.
During a private party in Dasmariñas, Cavite, the feisty mayor said he decided to join the 2016 race after the Senate Electoral Tribunal (SET) voted against petitions to disqualify Grace Poe on the grounds of her citizenship.
"What made me decide to run? Was it an offer for money? No. Gusto ko lang sabihin sa lahat stop (expletive) with the Philippines. Nothing against Grace but if you run for the highest post in the land, it must be reserved for a true-blue Filipino,'' Duterte said.
"If ever you make it, you will be a presumptive president by citizenship. Hindi ko matanggap yung ganun. What will happen when she is disqualified because she is American? Give me an Igorot, an Aeta, a plumber. Kahit ano basta Pilipino. It is a matter of principle. Pagka ganun my candidacy for the presidency is on the table."
Before ending his speech, he challenged Poe to produce her birth mother to prove that she is Filipino.
"If she can prove she is Filipino then I will step down. I will be her (Poe) campaign manager."
Duterte arrived at the party with Senator Alan Peter Cayetano, who is running for vice president and has been rooting for a tandem with the Davao City mayor.
Duterte added that he is also in Luzon to seek the blessing of his partymates from the Partido Demokratiko Pilipino-Lakas ng Bayan (PDP-Laban)."

Duterte said only a conspiracy with porters, drivers, and airport authorities can create such a situation.

Davao City Mayor Rodrigo Duterte announces that he is not running for the presidency in #Halalan2016. More details to follow on www.abs-cbnnews.com. Video by Hernel Tocmo, ABS-CBN Davao Posted by ABS-CBNnews.com on Monday, October 12, 2015
My friends and fellow Dabawenyos:
I am sorry to disappoint those who spent much and worked hard and long in support of me as \i went around the country espousing the benefits and advantages of federalism. I therefore beg for everyone's kind understanding and acceptance of my sincerest apologies. Afterall, there was no ambition for me to aspire for Presidency. The Country does not need me. I find no need for it. I guess it is fate tht wills that our long journey together should end this way.
Time and again, those who believed in me and in the cause that I advocated and continue to advocate, advised me to go for the country's presidency because that is the destiny that awaits me. But I believed that my destiny is to end years and years of public life in the service of Davao City and every Dabawenyo.
Thus, if Inday Sara agrees to run for Mayor, I will retire at the end of my term in 2016. If she does not, the option to be Mayor again is on the table.
When all is said in the wake of this decision, perhaps we can find comfort in the thought that this is indeed a beautiful day to end a wild dream.
God bless the Philippines. God bless us all!
