Land Bank, May Alok na P50,000 Gadget Loan para sa mga Estudyante





MANILA, Philippines — BINUKSAN na ng Land Bank of the Philippines ang application para sa loan ng mga estudyanteng nangangailangan ng electronic gadgets para sa kanilang online na pag-aaral.

Ito'y may kaugnayan sa mas pinalawak na direct loan program ng Land Bank para sa mga estudyante kung saan, sakop na nito sa ngayon ang loan para sa pagbili ng mga electronic gadgets na kinakailangan para sa online learning.

Sa ilalim ng programa, maaaring makapag-loan ng hanggang sa P50,000 ang kada estudyante.

Ang gadget loan ay maaaring isama sa maximum loanable amount na P150,000 sa kada estudyante o P300,000 upang maisali ang pambayad sa tuition o enrolment-related fees.

Sinabi ng Land Bank na ang mga estudyanteng nasa legal na edad ay maaaring makapag-apply ng loan sa LANDBANK I-STUDY o Interim Students’ Loan for Tuitions towards Upliftment of Education for the Development of the Youth Lending Program.

Matatandaan na noong una, mga magulang at guardians o benefactors lamang ng mga estudyante ang maaaring makapag-apply ng loan.

“While we await the resumption of in-person classes, we hope that the I-STUDY Program can help students cover the financial requirements to purchase needed learning equipment and participate in online classes,” ang naging pahayag ni Land Bank President at CEO Cecilia C. Borromeo.

Itinaas din ng Land Bank ang maximum age eligibility ng mga estudyanteng makakapag-apply ng loan sa 50-anyos at isinama na rin ang mga scholar students na ang tuition fees ay hindi lahat cover ng kanilang scholarship.

Maaari ding makapag-loan ang mga non-scholar students mula sa mga private pre-school, primary at secondary schools.

Ano ang Criteria?

1. Parents, guardians/benefactors
  • Filipino citizen, of legal age and with established repayment capacity
  • A co-borrower shall be required if the principal borrower is more than 60 years old and/or with no established repayment capacity
  • Must have established credit history and good credit standing
  • Must be a permanent resident or resided for a minimum of 2 years in the area of residence
  • Must have a combined monthly net take home pay after loan
2. Co-borrower
  • Not be more than 60 years old and a Filipino citizen
  • With good credit standing and must have established repayment capacity
  • Must be a permanent or has resided in the area of residence for a minimum of 2 years
3. Students’ Eligibility
  • Filipino citizen
  • Not over 50 years old at the time of application
  • Incoming student who are qualified under the admission and retention requirements of school or technical vocational institutions recognized or accredited by CHED or TESDA or DepEd
  • Of good moral character as certified by school
  • Non-scholar students in private pre-school, primary and secondary schools, or
  • Not a current beneficiary of the Universal Access for Quality Tertiary Education Act of 2017 (R.A. 10931) or any scholarship program or of any privilege having free tuition fees as honor student
  • Scholar students whose tuition fees and other enrolment-related fees are not fully covered by the scholarship benefits and/or who are needing fund to purchase electronic gadgets to enable their access to on-line or computer-augmented learning
Magkano ang Loanable Amount?

Maximum loan amount shall be the equivalent of 1 school year or 2 semesters, or P150,000 per student but not more than P300,000 per borrower and which shall be based on the submitted school-issued Enrolment Assessment Form/Registration Form with Schedule of Assessed Enrolment Fees

Included in the maximum loanable amount per borrower of P300,000 is a loan amount of up to P50,000/student to finance the purchase of gadget
 

Loan Tenor

Short-term loan – payable within 1 year via 360 day promissory note (PN)
Term Loan – payable up to maximum of 3 years inclusive of 1 year grace period on the principal
 
Paano Makukua ang Loan?
  • Short Term Loan - Lump sum and to be credited directly to the account of the school
  • Term Loan - Lump sum per semester and to be credited directly to the account of the school
  • Financing for Purchase of Electronic Gadgets:
  • Term Loan – Lump sum and to be credited directly to the account of the borrower with LANDBANK
 Magkano ang interest rate?

5% p.a. fixed for the entire term of the loan
 
Dagdag pa ng Land Bank na nasa P531.5 million na na halaga ng loan ang kanilang inaprobahan sa 16 na mga educational institution upang matulungan ang mga ito sa pagpapatupad ng ‘study now, pay later’ scheme para sa kanilang mga estudyante.
