OFW Kidnapped, Raped By A Cop In Kuwait

In this case, a policeman who is supposed to uphold the law and protect the innocent has taken advantage and raped an overseas Filipino worker in Kuwait.

A Filipina household worker who has just arrived in Kuwait was allegedly raped by the police officer who assisted her, according to the Department of Foreign Affairs (DFA).

In this case, a policeman who is supposed to uphold the law and protect the innocent has taken advantage and raped an overseas Filipino worker in Kuwait. A Filipina household worker who has just arrived in Kuwait was allegedly raped by the police officer who assisted her, according to the Department of Foreign Affairs (DFA). Ads The DFA said it is closely working with the Kuwaiti authorities, through the Philippine Embassy in Kuwait, for the arrest of the 22-year-old suspect, identified as Fayed Naser Hamad Alajmy. Embassy Chargé d'Affaires Mohd Noordin Lomondot reported to DFA that upon arrival at the airport, the suspect assisted the Filipina worker in finger scanning registration at the airport when she arrived on June 4. According to Lomondot, Alajmy allegedly kidnapped and sexually assaulted the Filipina. Lomondot also said that the employer of the victim is cooperating with the Embassy and the local authorities. The DFAassured that the government would ensure that the OFW be given justice.
