We are happy to know that our hard-earned money reaches our family back home. So it is important to make sure that our money is safe and reaches its destination, our loved ones.

Here are 5 money transfer tips for OFWs

1. Choose a bank or remittance outlet with a good reputation. For example, the Bank of the Philippines Island (BPI), Metro Bank, BDO, among others. In remittance outlet, there are Moneygram, Western Union etc. It may cost you a little more but nothings beat the feeling that your money is safe and you are confident that it will reach its destination.

2. Electronic funds transfer (EFT). It is one form of electronic transfer of money from one bank account to another, either within a single financial institution or across multiple institutions, through computer-based systems and without the direct intervention of bank staff. But with this, you should be careful with your account, since it has possibilities of being hacked.
