THE TOMB OF JESUS CHRIST,UNCOVERED

It has been centuries old debate wether Jesus Christ really existed,or did he really died and rose again.
The discovery of the tomb believed to be the very tomb where Jesus was buried is indeed an important discovery in the history of mankind.
The Bible say that Jesus was buried outside  the city walls of Jerusalem after He was crucified  and died at Golgotha. He was said to be buried in a tomb located in a garden near the site of his crucifixion. The walls of Jerusalem was later expanded, placing the tomb and Golgotha within the city.

"We know that this area was a Jewish cemetery at the time of Jesus,"Jodi Magness, archaeology professor at the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill.
After  uncovering the stone slate revered as Jesus Christ's burial place,Archaeologist have now examined what is inside the Tomb at the jerusalem Church of the Holy Sepulchre.
According from the reports of National Geographic, the tomb is a limestone or burial bed etched from the cave wall.Since at least 155A.D.,it was covered by marble cladding and it was exposed Last October 26,2016 as a part of the major restoration project at the church.
An initial inspection by a team from the National Technical University of Athens revealed a layer of fill material beneath the marble cladding. Additional work revealed another marble slab with a cross carved into its surface, according to National Geographic. Just hours before the tomb was re-sealed Friday, the original limestone burial bed was found to be intact.

Experts confirmed the existence of the original limestone cave walls inside the Edicule,an structure inside the Church of the Holy Sepulchre known to be erected since early 19th Century.

A rare Jerusalem papyrus has been recovered from cave looters which is ,according to Chief Scientific Supervisor Professor Antonia Moropoulou, the project head, is the Holy Rock that has been revered for centuries, and can only be actually seen now.

Archaeologist Martin Biddle,an expert on the Church of the Holy Sepulchre, told National Geographic the the data from the burial site, particularly the bed and the walls should be carefully analyzed,as any markings may lead to the tomb history by providing vital clues.

After the uncovering of the burial bed,it has been resealed in its original marble cladding not to be exposed again for the next millennia.

"The architectural conservation which we are implementing is intended to last forever,"  Moropoulou said.
