STEP BY STEP ON HOW TO CLAIM THE P550 TERMINAL FEE REFUND AT NAIA

If you are a vacationing OFW, do not forget to claim your P550 terminal fee at the refund counter in NAIA.
Before, OFWs were  exempted to pay the terminal fee as stated by law.
However , the new ticketing system by the airline companies has integrated the P550 terminal  fee as you purchase your air ticket and it can be refunded at the designated  refund booth at NAIA.

What are the procedures in claiming the refund of the P550 terminal fee?

Martin, an OFW working in Dubai, UAE went for a short vacation in the Philippines. He booked his ticket online and the P550 was automatically included with the air ticket he purchased. On his way back to his work place, he decided to refund the P550 terminal fee and these are the steps he underwent:

After checking in, Martin went to the terminal fee refund counter at the NAIA to claim his terminal fee. Since he is returning to the same employer, he is qualified for the refund.

Martin saw the procedures in claiming the refund on the wall. The information made him aware of what to do so that he can proceed with the refund without hassle.

At the refund counter, he presented his air ticket to the counter clerk.

After presenting his ticket,  he submitted a photocopy of his visa.

The counter clerk asked Martin to present his boarding pass and after doing so, the clerk handed him the P550 terminal fee refund and the boarding pass is stamped  with "IPSC REFUNDED".

If the Terminal Fee will be claimed by a representative and not by the ticket holder himself, you can follow the procedure here.
