Caregiving and housekeeping are not the only jobs opened for Filipinos who wants to work in Japan.
According to Labor Undersecretary Dominador Say, Japan is in need of 35,000 foreign workers, but stress out that this is not just for Filipinos but open for all foreign workers.
Say said, Filipinos are much preferred by Japanese employers or companies because of our working attitude and work quality.
But he cautions Filipinos who wants to work in Japan. He said, as of now there is no hiring yet for caregivers because they are waiting for Implementing Rules and Regulation (IRR) regarding the deployment of caregivers in the said country.
He also said that those who wants to work in Japan may check the website of POEA to make sure if job orders and agency are legitimate.
Aside from caregiver, foreign workers including Filipinos can apply jobs for Japan in the fields of auto mechanics, farming, jobs in restaurant and Information technology (IT).
Say added, for those who are interested, it is important to have an experience and additional knowledge. It is also an advantage of the worker if he or she already knows how to speak and understand the Japanese language.
Just last week, some Japanese businessmen are in the Philippines for the possibility of putting up a training facility for caregivers and housekeepers in the country.
