DOLE is has now started the distribution of the OFW ID card.
The lucky first recipients are the OFW's who recently arrived  from Qatar and they received it from President Rodrigo Duterte himself.

After a long wait, the ID card with a promise to make the lives of The modern day heroes easier. President Duterte said that he do not want the Filipinos suffer from lengthy processes and long queues especially the OFWs.

DOLE Secretary Silvestre Bello III assured the OFW that the OFW ID will not be a burden to the pockets of the OFWs. The funding for the printing of the OFW card will be financed by OWWA.
