OFWs Apply For Overseas Voter Reactivation Until Dec. 9








OFWs who failed to vote for two (2) consecutive elections can apply for reactivation as overseas voter so they can vote in 2016 election. 







The Department of Foreign Affairs -Overseas Voting Secretariat (DFA-OVS) issued the reminder on Tuesday, before the extended reactivation period ends on December 9, 2015.






To process the reactivation OFWs can proceed to the nearest Philippine embassy, consulate general, mission or Manila Economic and Cultural Office (MECO) and ask for the reactivation form.





The form may  be downloaded here

or through Comelec (www.comelec.gov.ph) and DFA-OVS (www.dfa-oavs.gov.ph) websites.



The Commission on Elections-Office for Overseas Voting bared the simplified process of the Application for Reactivation.

1. Sending a copy of the duly accomplished OVF No. 1G, including its attachment, if applicable, via e-mail to overseasvoting.reactivation@comelec.gov.ph or through facsimile to (0632) 521-29-52; or

2. Personally or through mail at the nearest Embassy, Consulate, Mission, MECO or at the Office for Overseas Voting (OFOV) in COMELEC, Manila.



Reactivation of Overseas Voting Records extended until December 09, 2015.
