Types of Perfumes

There are different types of perfume according to the percentage of their base oils. These oils are called essential oils, in this post we will know the difference between

EAU DE COLOGNE
EAU DE TOILETTE
EAU DE PARFUM
and
PURE PARFUM

"Eau de Cologne" is the least concentrated form of a fragrance and generally contains 2 - 5% perfume oils dissolved in water and alcohol.
These are the small quantity oil perfume and more on alcohol. It stills smells good, but it doesn't last long that's why it is sometimes cheaper.

"Eau de Toilette" commonly contains 5 - 10% pure oils.
These usually are pen type scents that are packed in 10-100ml, it is stronger than the cologne.

"Eau de Parfum" usually has 10 - 20% pure oils.
These is the most common types that we are buying and usually last 8 to more hours.
"Parfum" (the most concentrated, rarest and most expensive) has 20 - 40% pure oils.

This is the most expensive perfume, and it lasts sometimes even after you washed your clothes.

so the next time you buy, you know what you want to buy, a little cheaper, or that one that lasts longer, the decision is yours.
