Tatay, Tatay na Tatay

It's been two year's and as I feel like getting older and older every Father's day, I understand as well the deeper meaning of fatherhood.

Naalala ko pa nung unang Father's day with my daughter. She was barely 3 months old. Ang ginawa ni Mrs. Thoughtskoto, nilagyan ng parang blue wet powder yung mga tiny little fingers ni Hevyn and she push it gently sa piece of paper, write a note and greetings, cover it with plastic and hand it to me when I arrived from work. It was sweet, and for me, it's memorable, and enough to make some newly Dad, cry out of joy.

Today, I found out what ang tinatago ng two girls sa akin before I left. They put a greeting card in my pack bag, and a gift wrapped with Hevyn's papers na ginamit at pinagdradrawingan ng kung ano-anung scribbles, hehe. And again, it makes the Dadda cry, sinipon na nga sa kakacry. Well, because I missed them so much.

I grow up starting at the age of six without knowing a father for reason I haven't really understood even until now. But I have many father's who schooled me, taught me, and set an example to me on how to live a decent and simple and yet meaningful and joyful life.

What I am now is more of what I've learned from the many people who in one way or another, and in simple ways touched me a little, taught me a little, here and there, like grains of sands, one by one, eventually form as a rock, solid and strong.

Thank you fathers, and to all of you who have fathers.

But there is one Father I know who never left us, who always guides and watch over us, who willingly gave even His best and beloved Son for us to be able to comeback to His ways, and thereby comeback to His presence someday. He is the Father of our spirit. Our earthly father is the father of our bodies. So today, it is fitting to celebrate the wonders of fatherhood, both our Father in Heaven and our father on earth.
