RSVP

Note: This post is for Mr. and Mrs. Thoughtskoto.

"Répondez s'il vous plaît" a French phrase that means, "Please reply or Please answer"

We usually receive that invitation from friends and people who will celebrate special occasions like birthdays, weddings, anniversaries, and other celebrations.

We also believe some people simply doesn't understand what RSVP mean.

For example, I thought when I was young that RSVP means, Reserve Seat for VIPs.

How many times have we ignored the RSVP written in the cards or invitations that we received?

There is also someone who is inviting us, and each invitation comes with RSVP.

I know it's strange, its February and the Thoughtskoto's are calling for an invitation to come to God.

Irregardless of our faith and creed, we all accept that Someone is up there.

It doesn't matter how much money we have, or how broke we are, we all believe that He is up there.

And despite of our worthiness or sins, we accept as fact that He is responsible for all the things in this world, including what happened and what is happening to us.

and He has issued and keeps on issuing the call to

"Come" unto Him, and I believe with an RSVP too.

Did we replied?

Did we take even a slight notice?

Or did we just completely ignore that invitation because perhaps

we are busy,

we been busy,

or we tried to be 'busy'

or still, we pretend to be very 'busy'.

This Being, an Alive, Constant, Creator, Exemplar, Generous, Godly, Good, Gracious, Healer, Holy, Humble, joyful, Judge, Just, Kind, Lawgiver, Light, Loving, Mediator, Merciful, Mighty, Miraculous, Obedient, Righteous, Ruler, Savior, and Sinless, yet Truthful and Wise,

is the very source of our strength

and the very center of our marriage, and life.

Let us listen to Him speak what He wants and His plans for us. His call is like a voice of a thunder, yet so small that not even audible like a whisper in our ears.

Tonight when we kneel and pray, let us reaffirm our faith to Him and respond to His invitation, with gladness, humility, and obedience.

Tonight let us tell Him our weaknesses and failings, our setbacks and disappointments, and that despite of all that we been doing, we still need His support, after all we've done.
