Dear Jacque Bermejo, Please Contact Kablogs

Dear Jacque,

I and a few Kablogs members are following your story. I have said before that I have Aunt, cousin, classmate, good-old-friend and best of KABLOGS and fellow OFW's in Dubai.

Since you are an OFW, we wanted to reach out to you. If it is possible that we can blog about your predicament, and what really happened.

The heightened sentiments of the people back home and the curses and photos na biglang nagsulputan makes me worry about the worst thing that could happen when a person is hacked. I am also worried about what the people back home would think about OFW's especially the people like us who strive-our-best-and-God-fill-the-rest Middle East OFW's.

Call or contact this guys and gals and their blogs below.

The list of the names and blogs below are some of the KABLOGS and OFW Bloggers located in Dubai.

You can contact any of them, and we can make a blog post about this using OFW-hacking-experience. You are not alone in this situation. Chico of the Desert Dude also had the same experience like yours not too long ago.

Rhandy, http://batanghenyo.blogspot.com/

Azel, http://mapanuringpanitik.blogspot.com/

Chico, http://kunejo.blogspot.com/

Ruel, http://ruphestimate.blogspot.com/

Yanie, http://wattuduyanie.blogspot.com/

Jee, http://timeofreflection.blogspot.com/

Jen, http://apshie.blogspot.com/

Mylene, http://enelym001.wordpress.com/

iilan lang sila among the many Dubai bloggers in KABLOGS list. If I missed some, please let me know so I can add them.

If you cannot reach them, reach the Thoughtskoto family.

If any of you can get hold or contact Jacque, let us know here. Thank you very much.

Happy Birthday Mrs. Thoughtskoto!

Below is my letter to then my girlfriend, Ms. Thoughtskoto

8:00PM Dammam KSA
14March2006

Dear Ms. Thoughtskoto,

I don’t know what can a text or chat message can do or maybe an email, to form a relationship that will last till eternity. I don’t know really, but I am amazed of the wonders it is making in my life. If you think this letter will all be corny, that’s because I am a chi-ken, a pet for a lovely girl out there. Hehehe

There are several text messages I’d like to echo today in my letter for you. I relay them again because they are so true and so honest, and it comes from the deepest thought of both my heart and mind.

I texted you this, February 19, 2006

Jiken: Sometimes when you found that one special thing that means to you more than anything in this world, you fight for her, you risk it all, you put her in front of everything, your future, your life, all of it. When you found that one special thing that you really care, you're not afraid to risk or to be hurt because you know you’ve done just the right thing, you love and try to express and show that love in anyway you can. Just some of the madrama at corny thoughts I have had just a while ago. Enjoy your day! Am missing you really. So how are you? Is everything fine? Ei, take care there!

How true that is to me! When you I found that someone special more than anything in this world, I am ready to fight for you, to risk it all, I put you in front of everything, my future, my life, all of it. When I found you, it seems that you’re all I cared of, I am not afraid to risk o be hurt because I know loving you is the right thing. I have no doubt; it is so clear and so certain. You may not believe this, I am not afraid to be hurt, because I have given my all, my best shot, and I am trying to do what’s best to give this once in a lifetime chance to be a part of your life. How wonderful it is!

This is what I told you in our chat and text message one time:

Jiken: “Thank you for bringing out the best in me, you have no idea, honestly what good you are doing into my life. And kahit di man tayo, or I mean di man kita maging wife, it feels so awesome to know that you did or you’re doing something best to another you haven’t seen or get to know too well.”

I ponder last night how long we been friends. I was so surprised to know na halos 3 months pa lang pala tayo nagtetext at nageemail! Can you believe that? In my mind and in my heart, I feel like we’ve known each other for a long time! Serious. I never thought I will be this happy, sometimes, it’s crazy, but it is so sweet and joyful as well. I am really in love. That is what I like when love is sustained by the spirit, my love for you, it is not assuming, it is free of anything, it is giving, it is making the other person happy, and it is bringing out the best to people. It is inspiring, it does not seek for return, it is without description, or qualification, who and what you are does not matter anymore, what matters is that you are happy and the person you love is happy too. Sometimes we ask each other what we see in someone. I remember what Hinckley says in his book, Standing for Something. Love is constant. It is like a North Pole star, and he exhorts to let love be the lodestar of our life. He talks about two young couple, married against people asking what they see in each other. Beyond the physical thing, once love that is real and true hits you, you don’t care anymore what people will say, as long as you know this is the right thing to do and you are happy. I am quite down-to-earth, chi-ken usually do like that, dig-to-earth…hehehe you keep on telling me about the real you, I like that. But I have accepted you for who you are a long time ago...

- Journal entry dated 14 March 2006 8:00 PM. Dammam, KSA

This song is for you. You've heard about it. I'd like you to hear it again. I love it. I love you!

PEBA and KABLOGS Asking Support for ONDOY Victims

I have read about that Jacque Bermejo Facebook comment kagabi. Sorry for being so blatant about this. Sa totoo lang.

Below is a letter from Pete. We are asking PEBA Nominees and KABLOGS members to support this initiative. Grab this Image banner and display in your sidebar.

******************************************************************************

Dear Friends and Fellow Bloggers

I hope that you can help inform our kababayans about the disaster Ondoy wrought to our country.

We have community severely affected in Kasiglahan Village in Montalban Rizal and other urban poor communities we work with living along the banks of esteros and rivers. They are without dry clothes and food. The community at Kasiglahan that was hit badly up until last nite we do not have words from them and even government relief has not reached them because of the bad road. Most of the people in that area are without food and clean water.

I hope that through our blogs effort we can help our kababayan.

Below is a list of places to donate:

But if we can monitor or centralize the donation through PEBA and KABLOGS account the better and we can have it course through as PEBA and KABLOGS donation to a particular group and organization.

Maraming salamat,

Pete
PEBA Metro Manila Area Coordinator

The Chemist-Turn-to-Movie Director in Me

Sana kayo din, gagawa din, inviting others to sponsor the Pinoy Expats/OFW Blog Awards.

Kung hindi makakadalo ang mga nominees, they will send 1 or 2 representative to be there, depende sa sponsors na makukuha. Basta it is a must na may representative, Kapamilya at Kapuso, anybody na kung tatawagin ang name mo will come to stage to get the ala-Oscar's trophy-like-plaque.

Unang-una, we want it to be special.

We need some "cash" to pay for the rent of the venue, and the dinner date, and the entertainment and everything for free. Promise. (hehe) Ayan bumitaw ako ng magic word. Lagot, NJ, pafinance ha. haha.

Pangalawa, we need some seed money for the future projects. KABLOGS is very busy for their version of that project, but sa PEBA, we are planning to adopt-two-poor-but-deserving-kids-to-send-to-school, symbolic of our two years of existence.

at pangatlo, to be use sa mga outreach programs and kawanggawa projects that directly affects or involve OFW's lives.

Kaya company or individual kagaya nila Generous Lady at Promil Kid, inaanyayahan namin kayo to support and sponsor PEBA.

Download the sponsorship package at the PEBA homesite at ibigay sa mga connections at kakilala. Maraming salamat po!

I also invite you to create your video ads and submit it sa PEBA Video Ad Contest.

-----------------------------------------------------------

Paumanhin:

Enjoy this short over 1-minute amateur video...

Nakakalungkot, as in pero wala tayong magagawa.

The Thoughtskoto family is praying for our country especially sa mga taong nasalanta, naapektuhan, at nawalan ng mga mahal sa buhay.

Mahal pa rin namin ang bayan namin, at uuwi pa rin kami doon, umulan man at bumaha dahil sa mahigit 20 beses mang bumagyo, lumindol man o pumutok ulit ang Mt. Pinatubo... uuwi pa rin kami, ikaw at ako...

Pagkat ako, ikaw, tayo ay Filipino.

The Good and Bad: 2009 MTV Video Awards

I don't know what's going on with Kanye's mind, and I haven't like his songs anyway but stealing someone's moment and totally embarrassing Taylor Swift over nationally televised MTV Video Music Awards will definitely do his music chart down, and make Taylor's music in demand.

Sometimes, we just have to learn to accept things the way it is and leave everything to God.

The videos and links below are from Youtube.

This is the part where Kanye disses Taylor. Notice the reaction on her face when he said Beyonce Knowles has the best video ever.

And the classy woman and great singer she is, Beyonce when receiving the trophy for winning an award had ask Taylor Swift to continue her speech.

Taylor Swift explained about what happened here.

Kanye West issued an apology at Jay Leno's Show here

Sample of Taylor Swift's song here

I just hope walang ganyan sa PEBA Awarding, haha. We are all winners.

SOME (ANIMAL) TIPS

Baka nakita niyo na nga ang mga pictures na ito, pero there are many things we can learn from this animal photos...

And so the Thoughtskoto's decided to share some simple tips sa mga visitors namin.

1. Stay out of Trouble.

Wag lumubog or magtakang sumuot sa drum kung di mo alam kung paano makakaahon, now I am not sure with my Tagalog version, pero sa English, parang ganito yun.

"Don't go down, if you don't know how to get up." Simple lang di ba? Hehe

Tsk tsk, malabo... kayo na bahala.

2. When you are communicating seriously, and sincerely, look the other person or animal in the eye.

They will see the sincerity. Promise. Especially if it is between life and hospital-bone-breaking-hospital-bedridden-or-might-be-death experience.

Ako, whenever I speak or may sasabihin na urgently at talagang importante, I look the person in the eye.

Now figure that out in chatting or calling over the phone.

Look at the screen or cellphone instead... (lols)

3. Exercise to maintain good health. It is the secret to long life.

Gymnastic, that is.

4. Teamwork makes an organization, company and family successful.

Totoo yan, no one is an island. We all need each other here. Any sports team, or any organization, kapag walang harmony and mission and vision, walang mangyayari.

Even our very own self, kapag hindi nagkakatugma ang puso, heart, isip at mind, magulo, parang ako, hilong hilo sa kahahanap ng tao, volunteer at sponsor. hehe

5. Prepare a Shelter for Rainy Days

I wonder what happen, matalino naman ang matsing di ba?

Simple tips lang ang number 5 but with a very profound and different meaning. Shelter could mean a lot of things, house, savings, education, virtues, values, dreams...

6. Friendship is no respecter of person (or animal :)

Have you seen a bird befriend a cat? Or a Black African befriend an Asian, or White American?

Wala yan sa color, sa pinag-aralan, sa status quo, sa backgrounds, or sa language or race.

Friendship for me boils down to one thing.

C-H-A-R-A-C-T-E-R

If the person does have a character that I like and wanted to emulate, if I see goodness in them, I befriend them, because I wanted to be influence by their goodness.

7. Aim for Greater Heights

I guess for us, we dream for something better. We might be contented sa ngayon, but we never ceases to dream and aim for something better.

Kapag ang isa tao daw, kuntento na, that's the end of everything. I guess people succeed because they keep on aiming for the better, hindi stagnant, kaya hindi nabubulok.

Aim for greater and higher and better things. When you fail, at least you tried. When you succeed, share the blessing to others.

8. Nothing is impossible.

We have some doubts and fears. We do. But we face it with faith in God. Kasi di ba sabi Niya,

"for Him nothing is impossible"

I believe that wholeheartedly.

I subscribe to that belief and for many years have proven that indeed, with Him,

if we do things with Him...

things will just go fine, things will just be fine.

Sounds preachy? hmmmn, I am hungry.

9. Rest and Relax.

Breathe some fresh air. Watch a scenic or breathtaking view, and wonder at the beauty of nature, and the tranquility of the birds flying up above.

Take sometime to enjoy the beauty within us.

When you look at the mirror, don't say, "Yuck!"

You are not helping.

Say, "Wow!"

and feel better. We are all wonderful, unique and special.

Kagaya dito sa blogosphere, I have known many, many people, young and not-so-young with tremendous potential, with so much to offer, pero afraid or ashamed to come out in the open and share and reach limitless abilities and hidden talents.

10. Wear Your Best Smile.

It is the secret of staying and looking young.

A Prayer and Plead for Help

The THOUGHTSKOTO family is joining in a moment of prayer for Maricris Ugay, a 36-year old Cancer patient from Paco Manila.

Maricris, a good friend of Mr. and Mrs. The Pope wrote a letter to Palipasan asking for our prayers, support and donation.

Her Husband contact info here:

Mr. Jonathan Ugay
+639159296960
Home Address: 14 Cristobal St. Paco Manila
Metrobank Account No. 033-3-03361666-0 Ermita Branch

This prayer is also dotting the KABLOGS now.

From LordCM at the Dungeon

Bhing at Gumamela sa Paraiso

Jessie at Life Moto

As I've said in my comment to her letter, reminding me of my Mom, at the age of 39, suffering the same thing, and with a very limited medicine and complications that time that cost our fortune and her life na halos nasira ang future namin, and it took us more than a decade to recover:

Mr. Thoughtskoto said...

This is something that I am very familiar about. 16 years old, and 16 years ago, my Mom suffered the same, and it breaks my heart to remember the scenes of the past.

God bless you Maricris, and with the technology and advancement of medicine after 16 years, I am grateful you will have high hope that things will work out according to the righteous desires of our heart.

The Pope said...

@ Mr. Thoughtskoto
I am really sorry to hear your story about your mother's passing... it really breaks my heart to hear women suffers such pain especially when they are inflicted with cancer.

Despite of the modern science discoveries and advance medical technology, the costs of medicines and professional fees is still not affordable to the common man.

And at times like this, the most important shield in life is faith and the best medicine is prayer in battling with this disease.

May we be touched to bless her, even we don't know her. May we offer prayer in our hearts and in our minds, even we haven't seen her, because that is what charity is, the pure love of God - genuine concern for the welfare of others.

Helping without expecting anything. Caring and sharing, in simple ways and meager means even if it seems to be nothing.

Promil Kid Donated Php10T to KABLOGS (Edited)

(Due to persistent demand we will change the name of the Donor, hehehe, Thanks Blogusvox for the clue. :)

Anong main reason why someone in UAE, a fellow blogger, will have the heart to donate as big as this amount to KABLOGS?

Php 10,000 for a project na hindi pa nga naaannounce?

I talked to this guy several times, although the one who did the convincing is the El Presidente of KABLOGS, the ever convincing CM.

Anyway nagulat na lang ako one morning when I made a long distance call informing him that the KABLOGS bank account is ready for deposits. To my surprise when I asked him "maagkano po ilalagay natin na amount".

Why do people like Generous Lady and now, Genius Kid give such as this amount?

T-R-U-S-T

And I know KABLOGS knows that, and they are doing their best para maayos ang lahat to soon announce this wonderful project.

Maraming salamat Genius Kid! God bless you!

********************************

If you haven't visited yet, we'll be posting the list of Volunteers for PEBA later in the day sa site ng PEBA. Watch out kung sino na ang mga judges na napili, and sino-sino ang mga volunteers.

Salamat ng marami!

How Many Pinoy Expats and OFW Blogs and Bloggers?

I come across this question while working on the sponsorship letter.

Okay, hope matulungan niyo ako.

There are currently 24 Million Filipino Internet Users according to ACNielsen and Yahoo.

Great numbers went to checking email, online messaging, online gaming, and social networking

3.3 Millions are reading Blogs

2.3 Million actually have Blogs

But the question is

how many Pinoy Expats/OFW Blogs and Bloggers meron?

The only answer to this question is KABLOGS.

PEBA is unique because it showcase the best Filipino Bloggers abroad and come to light their wonderful and sad stories and the challenges that becomes their strength.

But KABLOGS is unique as well. It is the one and only site that has a network of Filipino Expats and OFW Blogsites. A blog links in the common term. A one-stop-bloghop.

KABLOGS effort is primarily to encourage OFW's to blog. Another is to engaged in projects and outreach program, and to help OFW's in distress and in need. Currently in its roaster list is more than 300 blogs of Expats, OFW's and OFW- supporters.

Will it be safe to say 1,000 Expats and OFW Bloggers?

I believe so. I believe even more than that!

Count mo ang MySpace, Live Journal, Wordpress, Typepad, and many other hosting sites.

I wish KABLOGS will undertake a mission, to gather more OFW blogs and place it in one house. We also hope na magkaroon na ng sariling site ang KABLOGS, placing in one house a Help Center, a Social Station, a Job Center, and Bloglinks. Kung meron na tayong pera, we can purchase a domain and webhost, or maybe may angel na pwede magdonate dyan, and may magaling na webmaster na magaling website design to manage this thriving site.

Ang PEBA naman on the other hand exist dahil may KABLOGS. So hand in hand itong dalawang site.

KABLOGS gather OFW's and Expats Blogs para PEBA can honor them. PEBA will look for sponsors and donors para KABLOGS will have money for its missions, projects and outreach program.

It is a joint effort, and when I started them, I have no idea what I am doing, so long that I know it is good for the OFW's. Now I am beginning to realize.

Ang mga simple dreams na ito, KABLOGS and PEBA is becoming a legacy,

and its all because of you!

And maraming-maraming salamat sa tiwala at suporta!
